Congratulations to the National Film Authority (NFA) on its nomination in the ‘ FILM COMMISSION INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR’ category for the 3rd Annual Makers and Shakers Awards (MASA) 2022.

The agenda to establish and strengthen a pipeline working relationship between the NFA and the various film guilds/associations and issue accreditation is still actively ongoing. The NFA commends the commitment of the Film Crew Association of Ghana (FiCAG) to the course and dedication to the welfare of its member community.

The National Film Authority of Ghana signed a landmark partnership agreement with Pixel Ray Studios LLC which will lead to the construction of a full-service world-class film studio in Ghana, West Africa. 

Peter Sedufia’s ‘Aloe Vera’ has made a comeback in cinemas following the reopening of cinemas and theatres. According to Peter Sedufia, “Aloe Vera is all about the ‘2 Ls’, Love and Laughter. Love should be the uniting force after the covid ‘storm’, a moment to laugh and appreciate one another”.

In a bid to create a platform to showcase Africa’s diverse acting talent to the entire continent and the rest of the world, the Africa Monologue Challenge was launched in Accra Ghana.

Francis Yushau Brown is a Ghanaian filmmaker specialising as an animation artist. He was born in Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana where he was raised by his grandmother.

Adjetey Anang, a renowned Ghanaian actor has urged his fellow actors to support the National Film Authority (NFA), as ripple effects of that will benefit the whole film industry.

On the 20th of October, 2021, the National Film Authority had engagements with key stakeholder guilds and fixers at the Accra Tourist Information Centre.

The National Film Authority finalizes investor interest for iGrow documentary series. One of the 25 shortlisted films in the Presidential Film Pitch Series (PFPS). The National Film Authority is happy to announce this milestone. The series is focused on connecting Ghanaian filmmakers and film businesses to investors and platforms in the drive to attract some much needed investment into the sector which already employs large numbers of people.

The National Film Authority on Wednesday, 21st of July met with stakeholders of Ghana’s film industry to outline the progress made since its inception. The meet event took place at the Silverbird Cinemas and online via Zoom & Facebook.
