The National Film Authority is the Authority mandated by the Development and Classification of Film Act 935 to regulate, streamline, and develop the film industry in Ghana.

As part of the processes to regulate and streamline the ecosystem of film in Ghana, the Authority assesses and grants accreditation to film institutions, guilds or associations, film educational programs, film events and film practitioners where requirements set by the Authority are met.

The Authority issues accreditation to ensure:

  •    standards of quality in the film industry; and,
  •    continual and purposeful improvement of standards and quality assurance.
