THE NATIONAL FILM AUTHORITY MAKES A TOKEN DONATION TO FiCAG TO SUPPORT VETERAN FILM CREW

The agenda to establish and strengthen a pipeline working relationship between the NFA and the various film guilds/associations and issue accreditation is still actively ongoing. The NFA commends the commitment of the Film Crew Association of Ghana (FiCAG) to the course and dedication to the welfare of its member community.

The NFA made a token donation to support FiCAG’s agenda to aid veteran film crew. According to the President of FiCAG, Mr Samuel Gyandoh, crew members have been unfairly marginalised and have received very little support in the ecosystem of filmmaking in Ghana…and that requires attention.

The NFA Boss, Ms Juliet Yaa Asantewa Asante congratulates FiCAG for their hard work and dedication to the industry and takes the opportunity to encourage various institutions, corporate bodies and individuals to also reach out and support a good course.

The NFA is very committed to its strategic plan to position Ghana as a film hub and an attractive shooting destination on the continent. The need for a strong guild and association community in developing the structures of the industry is one of the key focus areas of the NFA this year. Relevant policies and activities are being put together to boost the capacity and prepare local film practitioners for great opportunities ahead.
